The frames are kinda mod...but than again you could call them 70's ish or 60's ish...

I wanted to get the plastic frames style. I finally got these new glasses and contacts. I Had't gotten new "eyes" for I'm guessing 4 years-since sometime in Bible School...for real! One thing I'm a little bummed on, is that I don't think I got them quite strong enough...I'll be driving and if signs are a certain distance away.... I can't really read them and they're at a distance where I think I should be able to especially since I got new specs. I've gotten a sinking feeling thinking about that too much...it's like ahh, I got new glasses and I still have some trouble seeing... it's bothered me some, but most of the time I don't notice. It's better inside because things aren't 100-200 feet away....
I have a friend in Georgia that wanted me to post a pic with me in my new specs (glasses)...so I'm doing this for you Sarah and all my other loyal fans!

Hey! Them thar things-a-hangin' on yore face are right nice lookin' they are!!! I 'spose the important thing is if ya' can see where yer-a-goin', eh? I'm recallin' a feller who walked right square into a tree just 'cause he couldna see it---'course it was dark at the time but yer gets my point...??? 8~) Ol' 'Lanche looked over my shoulder at yer pictures but he didn't say nuthin'---he jest keeps munchin' away on 'is Alfalfa hay and a-makin' them funny contented like snuffles and wuffles...
Wow- what is it with people getting new glasses these days? Lis, Hesper48, you, me...They look really good on you! I got some a little like yours- but maybe even more square-ish- and I was so excited about them at first but now I don't think they look good on me...They make me look like a computer programmer. Not that there's anything wrong with programmers...it's just not me. I think mine aren't quite strong enough too...I experienced the same thing with driving and signs...I think that there's a difference between contact prescriptions and glasses because of the distance between your eye and the lens...But maybe I'm just crazy.
